Drew this very recently for the Artist Training Grounds... I really can't belive how it ended up. Recopied what I type in the description. 337. 'Through the Hoops' by Brackets "Wowee... My first ever art since Early Primary school. [Pause] Thats quite a long while ago! [Cheer] All this done on Microsoft Paint~ I drew the background with several minutes to spare, its quite obvious and meant to represent the hoops that they fly over. Because of the lack of time and harder to sneak out of the counter to do this, I cut off the bottom half of the pegasus as it is darn hard to draw the back legs!!! [frustration] The deed is done and I managed to post up my first ever drawing in years (biology specimens don't count!) Hope to follow this through to the end...[East Asian Bow]" From now on all of my art, any art I do will be posted up here! Attachments:

"All this done on Microsoft Paint" and I didn't think ANYTHING could be done in ms paint, you should really get SAI or something. I also tried that artist training grounds but I procrastinated too much to get anything done. but anway tha's pretty nice, I can't draw hooves to save my life

SAI? Tried it though, but the one I found is the Trial Version, so I have very limited functionality. As for the programme itself...its very complicated! So many buttons and options and things. I hope that if there is a tutorial about them here for a backward person like me, that would be wonderful!~

There are a couple of good free programs out there as well, such as GIMP and Paint.NET, and they have less buttons and are more self-explanatory (they're not as good, but they're free).

Paint.NET...seems to be selling cans of paint...is it the right place? As for GIMP, I am aware of that... Not as good eh? Is SAI treally the best one out there?

Urgh... Self Reminder: Don't try to test art softwares on the day of drawing itself. Outcome: Spent 3/4 of the time testing ALL and trial/errors. Drawing halfway before giving up and moving on to another. I really really don't understand the layers and cutting bit. Looks like an empty hole rather than what I usually see in Microsoft Paint. Don't get me started on the pasting and editing bit... But otherwise what is done, is done. For the second training ground, I did this on mostly Microsoft Paint: "Fuh... Passed it up with little time to spare! Its me again Brackets from last week! This is my Second ever drawing in many years and I feel grateful for this event~ Dress design is fully inspired from Touhou and why485's Pony Dress Tutorial. Not much time to do a lot on the background but I am happy with the results~" "This is the Unicorn before she gets dressed~ Isn't she lovely? The colours of this Unicorn and the ribbon is based on the first ever official merchandise I ever got from the My Little Pony Series. My Cousin got it for me from overseas, and I know it is a bad repaint and a flimsy added ribbon but I loved it~" Thank you all very much for looking, giving suggestions and critiques. Hopefully I can do this right~
