It just takes practice. If you keep trying, you will eventually get better at it.

As an artist myself, I always wish to help other artists out. If you want, I could give a bit of critique on the drawings you posted...but that's only if you want it. I know some people hate having critiques without asking for it. ~aruigus808

Well I'm not 808, and I'm no great artist myself, but I would recommend using references if you did not, and drawing guidelines for yourself. It helps extensively to get things in the right proportion, there is a thread cutiemarkcrusaders.boards.net/index.cgi?board=visualart&action=display&thread=38 with a few guides with all that covered. And people can nitpick anything about any drawing, so the only real way to get better is practice

I would recommend using references if you did not I would also recommend this. Either using references or just tracing another picture(while still crediting the original if you post your drawing. Remember, don't steal art). I actually started off by tracing vectors. I'm going to guess that your using a mouse. I would suggest that you use a program called "Paint Tool SAI" It has a wonderful feature where it'll help you draw straighter lines(This feature is called "stabilizer"). This program is also very good for lineart. Another thing you could do is look up tutorials and practice at drawing. I don't know how serious you are with drawing so I'll keep this as non-serious as possible. If I could highly suggest one thing though, I would tell you to maybe buy a drawing tablet. It would make drawing a lot easier, but they are pretty expensive so I understand if you don't want to get one. As for the actual critique on your drawings, I would say that the Twilight one looks the best. Working on perfecting the individual parts is, I think, the best thing to do. Master working on the head, then the hooves, then the body, and then the whole pony. Let me know if you have any questions. I'll try my best to help ~aruigus808

Well, I do use SAI, but I didnt know about the stabilizer, and with all my schoolwork I don't have much time to be serious in my work. I'm hoping that I get a tablet for christmas as well, though I've been practing lately with my sketchbook.
