Hey everybody,
Now, for some time I've been studying Amatsu, Reiki, acupressure charts, chi, chi kung (qigong), and meditation.
I'm not gonna lie, a lot of the stuff out there is a load of horseapples. But I've seen this stuff work. My girlfriend is currently being treated by Dr. Chris Roworth in London, who is a true genius. I attended a martial medicine seminar a few weeks ago and I saw some amazing, undeniable proof of chi and meridian lines. I even had some acupuncture myself to fix my back; he said there was an imbalance in my bladder which was throwing my spine out of alignment, which messed with absolutely everything, from mental health to physical pain.
Not that I needed more evidence, I've been meditating and learning these things for some time and I'm already a hardcore believer of this crazy stuff.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still a scientific person. I study medicine textbooks for fun, I enjoy physics and theoretical quantum mechanics.
I have a recommended reading list for you, which I recommend everybody to read. Whether you're curious, skeptical, or already think you're into this stuff, it'll give you a viewpoint and help you understand the world, and learning to understand the world and more importantly: the beliefs of people in it, is a very important but uncelebrated skill.
The following are in order; read these first-
Path Notes by Glenn J. Morris
Shadow Strategies by Glenn J. Morris
The following are not in order
One Year Manual - Israel Regardie
Hypnotism and Mysticism of India - Ormond McGill
The Book of Five Rings - Miyamoto Musashi
Chinese Medical Qigong Therapy: A Comprehensive Clinical Text - Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson
I'll update more later, when I've spoken to Jenn-san and Young-sensei.
